  • On: eBay Fee and Site Changes for 2008:
The eBay Fee and Site Changes for 2008 webinar was superb. Leave it to Janelle Elms to tackle the hard facts head-on and take the time and effort to sort through all the new rules and changes taking place at eBay. Janelle presents each new aspect of eBay that will change and then explains how it will affect Buyers and Sellers. Some changes are major, others are minor, but no change eBay sited, no matter how seemingly insignificant, went undetected. Janelle further analyzed the issues with her unique and comprehensive understanding of eBay - and served it to us straight-up. Moreover, she then set in motion a multi-tiered plan of action to re-balance the scale and help eBay Sellers continue to choose success selling on eBay. What a big job that must have been! I'm sure this webinar will help a lot of people who depend on eBay to clearly understand the impact and what actions to take - or not to take - to protect and grow their business in light of these changes. Bravo! This webinar is a great example what makes OSI so special.
  • On: Success With Cindy - guest Marlene Gavens:
Thanks Marlene, Cindy & Janelle for a very informative and insightful look into the world of an Education Specialist & eBay Certified Business Consultant! I really liked hearing some of the stories you tell your students, as well as the concrete information on how you organize and market your classes. It is clear Marlene is very dedicated to helping students learn.
  • On: "This site was made for you and me" says Wendy Siegel of WebWendy:
It's pretty rare to find an entrepreneurial, educational Web site that has a spirit of community, cooperation, great information, support and fun! The OSI Rock Song just came to me when I first saw the site as a pioneer roadie. If anyone can sing, drop me a line! Thanks for you comments!
  • On: "Receive insider information" says Melissa Guernsey of InfantTraveler.com:
Melissa, I learn so much from all your wonderful input on OSI! I wonder if there's more Disney on eBay or more Ebayer's in Disney? I know where we can find out - on OSI!!! P.S. Are these contests are getting crowded or what? Best of luck, Wendy

  • On: Upcoming USPS Rate Changes and Shipping Tips & Tricks:
Wow, thank you so much Carol! This interview was really helpful to me. While I never underestimated the importance of knowing all shipping options & keeping up with the latest changes, I often wished I could just send my packages out as email attachments... Ok, I'll admit it - I was a priority user. In this need-to-know interview, all is revealed about becoming a sharp shipper and why it plays a vital role in your eBay business. Taking the helm, Carol steers us in the right direction on how to avoid getting into deep water when shipping Internationally. You also won't want to miss how Janelle scales it all down at the end - signed, sealed, delivered...
  • On: eBay Legal Business Questions answered…:
Nancy Schick shares her entrepreneurial adventures and business experience in the legal arena. The old adage, “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” comes to mind when listening to this empowering podcast. Find out why surrounding yourself with qualified professionals who take the time to explain all that legal mumbo-jumbo could save you a lot of time and money down the road.
  • On: It’s not a secret…:
Troy White and Janelle Elms depart from the ususal business world to dig deep and discuss how much their spirituality is the secret to their success. This is a special podcast that can't be summed up - you have to listen to it yourself. It was fascinating to me to hear that a great percentage of people who are successful is directly proportional to their being spiritual. I think it's great that including the whole person, manifesting your dreams, goals, hopes and desires, listening to your inner voice and following the beat of your own drum is championed and supported. I believe you can teach a lot of things and learn a lot of things. I also believe there are things that can't be taught. That's always been one of the great mysteries of art.
  • On: Cliff Ennico - eBay Tax & Legal top questions answered:
I consider Cliff Ennico to be the foremost legal authority on running an eBay business. In this remarkable interview, Cliff has focused his expertise and vast experience in small business law to concentrate exclusively on the legal and tax issues that specifically concern eBay Sellers. Janelle Elms' own comments and questions to Cliff from other OSI members cover so many important issues! Topics discussed include contracts and tips for eBay Trading Assistants, different types of business organizations (i.e. sole proprietorship, limited liability company (LLC), corporations), sales tax information and forms, DBA Certificates, updates on Internet tax laws and why they pertain to everyone who sells on eBay. Cliff also manages to throw in several recommended web sites for your reference. On top of all that, Cliff has managed to do the impossible -- make you laugh while listening to legal and tax issues! Every Seller on eBay, new or more seasoned, should hear the information in this podcast. Cliff's advice embodies both the letter of the law and the spirit of eBay!
