I've learned alot about eBay's history but this podcast with Jill was a first-hand look at how eBay has developed and grown. Great tips! Thanks for reminding us that it's important to find out what our buyers want, not what we think they should have; the importance of anticipating problems & quickly putting tools in place to address them and how to identify and grow 'niches.'
  • On: Turn Your Auction Descriptions Into $$$$ - Troy White Shares ALL!:
I am blown away by the info in this podcast! This is not just 'talk' but simple exercises any of us can do to improve our writing. In teaching my eBay classes I always tell students to list the benefits as well as the features if they want to get people to take action and buy their item. It was interesting to hear Troy's take and how to take it a step further. Brilliant info!!
  • On: Titanium PowerSeller Scott Griggs shares his Success Story:
Janelle says that buyers buy 2 things: security & confidence. The concept makes sense but it was helpful to get Scott's 'real life' techniques for building trust and consumer loyalty through his marketing & branding. This is such an important concept because it's so much easier to sell to someone who has already purchased from us than to sell to a complete stranger. Sometimes I think we lose sight of that. Thanks for the reminder!
  • On: Giving Back on eBay with Michael Kaiser:
This is one of the clearest explanations of eBay's 'Giving Works' program that I've heard. Great examples of how to make the program work for you and super 'outside the box' tips and ideas. This podcast has valuable information that all charities and non-profits should know. If you're involved with one, pass the word along!
