   Seth Godin is the marketer to pay attention to for the 21st century. Seth thinks in the “non-traditional” marketing methods. It all seems so obvious after hearing him talk about. I continually wonder, “why didn’t they teach this to us in college”?

   You will want to listen to this several times so you can take it all in piece by piece.

   I also highly recommend reading his books, they are awsome. He’ll help you think about your business and the way you market it in a whole new way. My mind gets flooded with ideas each time I listen to this & read his work.

   I hope Janelle can get another interview with him again soon.

   That was an awesome interview with Seth. I actually spent a lot of time in the Squidoo booth at eBay Live with Megan, helping to answer questions about Squidoo, and how I’m using it to drive traffic to my eBay store. At the time of eBay Live (June 2007), Squidoo was the #6 source of traffic into my store. In September 2007 - it was #2 behind eBay itself. Squidoo outperformed Google in September for me. It’s an awesome resource, with an awesome team behind it, and I expect it to be a bigger and better part of my overall business going forward.

   Excellent Interview! I’m reading Seth Godin’s, “The Dip” right now - I like the idea that you should be the best in your marketplace, but that market can be a small and narrow niche. If you’re competing in too large a scope of marketplace and not number 1, perhaps you need to reevaluate and narrow that field until you are #1.
