   Very enlightening Webinar. Thanks Stephanie & Janelle! We have NO idea how to use a spread sheet (Excel or otherwise), but your examples were very understandable regarding the new ebay fee structure & free gallery and what it might do to our ebay charges when factored with the powerseller discounts and DSR’s. Thanks for explaining it so well. Feel sure anyone with spread sheet capabilities will have no problems following your step-by-step instructions. Because we sell mostly one-of-a-kind items that are all over the board from one month to the next, our charges would vary too much from month-to-month for all this calculation to be beneficial to us. Our plan at this point, is to continue to sell the items we currently sell, trying to ramp up our selling prices and put the lower dollar items in our ebay store. We are, of course, open to suggestions and changes and feel sure this plan will evolve & ramp up as we listen to the upcoming podcasts in store for us here on Rockstars.

   The fee structure changes coming were much clearer when discussed and shown in this format as well. Glad we are not real estate sellers!

   There is a small rumble that ebay may make some concessions on the DSRs and FB. As Rockstars we will, of course, be the first to be made aware of this, so we can regroup and change our plan, as need be.

   Thank you very much! I’m happy that I was able to walk you through what can be a very complicated process, but this type of analysis is invaluable if you really want to understand the nuts & bolts at the heart of your business.

   Understanding how these fee changes may impact you before they go into affect will help you better prepare for them.

   Additionally, you can do the same process in reverse once they’ve gone into effect to compare old fees vs new fees after you’ve made your changes.

   Okay it’s confession time … I would never have been able to figure out what the new fee changes mean without this class. Seriously. No way, No how. Not in million years. Now I know that–with practice and a great deal of patience–I could do this analysis for my own business. Even better, after watching Stephanie (and Janelle) evaluate the impact of the fee changes on her business model, I feel I can draw some preliminary conclusions about what the changes will mean for my business and make a decision to focus my energies on other things (DSRs and understanding Best Match).
